Posh Productions' "Luxe Holiday Entertaining Guide" photo shoot for OC's 944 Magazine

Posh Productions was recently approached by uber popular fashion + lifestyle magazine 944 to be featured in their December 09 issue on how to throw a Luxe Holiday Party.

Posh Productions owner Carol Miller gave a wonderful and in depth account of current trends and must do tips for holiday entertaining, as well as an account of Posh Productions history as a company and how it all came to be.

944 readers will be treated to very savvy insight on how to throw an absolutely fabulous holiday soiree using simple elements of color, texture and cuisine as well as a secret recipe for Posh's custom "944 Holiday Martini".  Be sure to grab a copy of the magazine due on stands December 1st.

The cast and crew had a great time shooting for Posh's 944 Magazine feature article.  944's managing editor Katie Pegler arranged top notch talent in models, the photographer and hair and make-up artists for Posh's shoot. The premise of the article revolves around a young and fashionable couple throwing a very luxe holiday party and utilizing Posh's services to do so.

Posh Productions Inc. created a wonderful holiday home setting as part of their two part photo shoot for their feature article in the famous 944 Magazine (December 09 Orange County issue).

Posh staff created a cozy holiday fireplace and dessert table presentation at the lovely Pacific Edge Hotel as part of its "Luxe Holiday Entertaining Guide" photoshoot on Thursday, November 5, 2009 in Laguna Beach, Ca.

Posh's talented pastry chef spared no detail in creating a fabulous array of custom holiday baked treats just like the ones clients can order for their own holiday parties.

The Holidays are fast approaching, are you already making your list and checking it twice?

Holiday entertaining can be so much fun when you're the guest, but if you are responsible for planning an event, it can be a bit overwhelming. Here are a few of Posh's favorite tips for your holiday entertaining.

1. An 'ode to the invitation.
There's something to be said about a tangible hand written invitation in this age of email blasts and texted invites. While electronic save the dates are a great and frugal way to go, spend a little more time on the invitation and the impression you make will go a long way.

2. Enlist the use of color to bump up the ambiance. (This will set the mood to whatever you want it to be: festive, chic, romantic or cozy)
Color can be brought into an event in many ways. From the very first contact an attendee has with the event - the invitation - to linen choices, china, flatware and crystal, guest gifts or favors, centerpieces, menu cards and thank you notes. Color is the single most important element for setting the scene.

3. Keep it simple, classy and elegant.
This year, think less is more, with smaller, more intimate parties focusing on a few modest décor elements that actually make a statement and mean something to your guests. If budgets are an issue, consider spending where it matters most, on an elegant menu, simple yet colorful decor, and classy entertainment (think single saxaphone player versus five piece band.)

Posh Productions Inc., had the distinct honor of producing components of the Vicki Lynn Denim line launch party for reality TV star Vicki Gunvalson of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of OC" on Friday, September 18, 2009, at her home in Coto de Caza.

Posh Productions provided their usual outstanding service and signature touch with a gourmet dessert bar, waitstaff, floral and event decor, bringing an elegant enhancement to the overall event.
